Game Rules

The following is a list of various rules to keep the player of Neveron honest and having fun. Most if not all of these rules have been in effect for a long, long time. Many have never been officially written down, and others are clarifications of long standing rules. All of these rules are enforced and people who break them WILL BE PUNISHED SEVERELY. Cheaters take up extreme amounts of admin time and energy and have ruined many parts of Neveron. We will not tolerate cheating at any level for any reason.

Please note that there are no "typical" punishments. Any transgression can result in a fine (undetermined), empire deletion, IP ban, or other punishment as the Admins see fit.

Multiple Empires

Currently we allow people to be involved in and run only five empires. This prevents people from creating empires solely for the financial benefit of their other empire(s). We have put strict limitations on how these empires may interact. Searching for cheaters is one of our most annoying tasks. Any person found to have more than five empires will be severely reprimanded.

If you have questions regarding any of these rules please open a help ticket!

  • If you control more than 1 empire, these empires MAY NOT interact with each other in any financial manner that abuses current markets or bypasses money transfer rules. You may transfer money and buy/sell goods in order to supply your empires with military equipment and supplies, but doing so in a fashion that is clearly aimed at moving money around will be punished.

  • You MAY attack an empire you own with another empire you control in war.

  • Creating empires for "utility" purposes (like farming money or buying things off the market to make yours the cheapest) is illegal.

  • Creating unreasonable trade situations for the purposes of moving money are illegal. Market transactions are closely watched.

  • Surrounding any empire with a level 0 is grounds for deletion.

  • Unreasonable financial transactions between empires you control are strictly forbidden. You may send money and purchase items, but if you buy/sell back and forth or sell items at anything but regular market prices (not including the trade alliance or faction discount) you will be punished/delete/banned.

  • Any method of achieving these goals by circumventing the ways printed above is still considered cheating. If you violate the spirit of these rules, you will be punished. Any interaction with a cheating empire can be called into question and perhaps cause you to be fined, deleted, or sanctioned in another manner.

    Arenas

  • Arranging fights with another empire where one empire deliberateley loses is strictly prohibited.

  • You may not have arena duels between two empires that you control, or primarily own.

    Donations

  • Donations are the sole means that Neveron is able to stay on the net and under constant development. Please understand that when you donate to Neveron you are not buying anything. You are assisting us in providing a free service to our players. The ephemeral nature of a web game and the dynamic atmosphere on Neveron means that donation bonuses that you receive can be lost in a myriad of ways. Please make yourself completely familiar with the game and understand what you are getting into before you decide to donate. Thanks to everyone who has chosen to donate in the past and will in the future.
  • Empire mergers are allowed for empires of level 10 and under if you have 1000 Donation Points on hand.
  • Demanding that someone donate in the name of another person under threat is clearly and strictly prohibited.

    Other

  • The "Elastic" Rule: Any player activity that is found to be maliciously abusive of game systems, attempting to circumvent coded pages with the use of 3rd party clients, or generally use the game in a manner not intended by the admins will be severely punished. Forms of this type of behavior include:

  • Connecting to the game with 3rd party clients (anything other than Internet Explorer 6.0+)
  • Manually entering information into the URL of your browser to find/use loopholes in the code.
  • Calling pages directly by entering the address into the URL.
  • Witnessing or experiencing a bug that assisted yourself or others and not reporting it to the admins as quickly as possible via a help ticket. An example of this would be not being charged for making a purchase, successfully conquering a zone when you should not have, or knowing that someone is breaking one of the above rules.
  • Abusive behavior or language in any manner as determined by the Admins.

People who are found to be behaving in any of these manners will have their empires deleted and be banned from the game. There will be no mercy for players who are attempting or succeeding in "hacking" Neveron in any manner, shape or form.

  • Players who are verbally abusive of others will punished, deleted or banned. This includes the use of foul language, racial slurs, or any other behavior the admins deem inappropriate.
  • Players who unsuccesfully alter a units' name and than request an admin fix will be charged the full market value of the unit.
  • You may not add links to the game beyond the area designated for faction descriptions. These links may ONLY be to informational sites/pages and must not have any action-oriented code (like resetting homepages, recording information or Neveron function pages). Violations will result in banning and/or extreme fines.
