You have probably all noticed that progress on Neveron is very slow. We spend scores of hours a week in the office making attempts at progressing Neveron closer to the amazing vision that we have for it. Unfortunately we spend the vast majority of our time answering questions about bugs, game mechanics, and so on. Even simple things that would take a half hour to fix or add don't get addressed because we're so busy explaining to people that such a fix or feature or problem is indeed known (or not known), in the works, etc..

Neveron Bug Reimbursement Policy

  • No Refunds. Neveron is a game made up entirely of web pages. A complex series of interlocking pages, but fundamentally the game is no different than any other web site. And like other sites, there will be times when pages load incorrectly or not at all. That is the nature of the internet. But unlike other web sites where an unloaded page doesn't matter, the Neveron page which falls victim to the idiosyncracies of the internet may have great impact on your game! If the failed page had to do with the purchase of a unit you might not get the unit. If it was in repairing armor you might lose some money. There are hundreds of pages, each of which might get smitten by transmission errors in countless ways. Everyone has fallen victim to failed pages at some point when playing Neveron; if you haven't been a victim yet you will be. It is extremely unreasonable to expect us to spend our time monitoring every page loaded, waiting for an error, and then track down what damage was done and repair it. Not only is it unreasonable, it is impossible.

There are usually 300 people or more logged in at a given time, and that number is growing constantly. We can't and won't follow everyone around giving handouts when something goes wrong. Please take such problems in stride: treat a lost unit as a defection, a money loss as a natural disaster of some sort or embezzlement by your accountants, a combat bug as a malfunctioning mech or weapon system. For all such one-time errors there will be no refunds of money or equipment, please do not send an email asking for as much.

  • Reproducable Errors There will be rare occaisions when we take exception to the above rule if we have logged information regarding the bug in question, or if admins were involved in a situation when a bug occured and can verify the existence and impact of said bug. In such events the admins will take steps to correct what went wrong, and will also decide what is fair to replace. Note that 99% of the mishaps on Neveron do not receive any type of specific reimbursement whatsoever, so please do not expect this to be you, no matter the situation. All events are judged on a one by one basis with the information we have on hand and the context the event took place.

  • CHEATING. If you find a bug that you could exploit to make lots of money or kill an enemy...PLEASE DON'T!! This detracts from everyone's overall game enjoyment. We have made Neveron to be challenging. When it loses its challenge it loses its fun. Let's please keep it honest. If we catch you exploiting bugs, you WILL be deleted, banned or severely punished.

  • Help Ticket. Questions/inquiries/reports should be sent with as much deatil as possible in an appropriate titled Help Ticket. If we had a nickel for every time we got a bug report that said "My empire/unit/battle is bugged, fix it now!" we would have...well...a lot of nickels. These "help me" tickets provide no useful information and we can do nothing to help the senders. Please include the circumstances, zone coordinates, unit ids, error type and line number, etc. so that we can be as much help as possible.

  • Better Support. If you have questions or complaints that need an immediate audience, please go to the Chat area. There are always people there who are very friendly and willing to help answer questions. Admins often visit the chat room and answer questions or talk about different aspects of the game, and so the room's regulars are often privy to information not available on the site anywhere and will gladly share that information if it applies to your specific problem.
