The Neveron Help System is under going a complete overhual. This will be a long term project that will require an extended period of time to complete. Please refer to the following additional resources for help:
Forums: Neveron, Inc. never hosted a forum of its own in the past. Nic J was a Neveron player long ago, and offered to host a section of forums for Neveron, on his website Sarna.net, and this became the official forum of Neveron for the next 10 years
In January 2011, Neveron: The New Era started to work on a new home for the Neveron forums. Not much work has been done in this area to date, but that forum can be found at NeveronForums.com.
Chat: For the purpose of live chat, Neveron currently uses Internet Relay Chat [IRC], hosted on the AfterNET servers.
Authenticating To Authserv: In order to take full advantage of the AfterNET server options, you will need to create a user account by registering with AfterNET.
Chat Clients: You can use the basic chat client below, which is provided by AfterNET. There are some settings that you can customize in the IRC Menu located in the upper left corner of the chat window below.
Another popular chat client is Mibbit. You do not need to download mibbit to use it for chat, and simply offers another alternative for a chat client.
There are many other chocies of clients that can be located on the internet, and downlaoded directly to your computer, and offer a more robust chat experience.
The most common chat client in use on Neveron is some version of mIrc. You can try it out with the free 30 day trial. Khaled, the creator of mIrc, has offered a special 50% discount discount to register your copy if you decide that you want to continue to use it. Khaled depends on registered copies of mIrc, much like Neveron depends on donations to stay online.
Here are some basic instructions to assist you in using the chat client below:
Nickname: Enter a name that you want to be known as in chat
Channel: This is preset to the default Neveron Help channel, but you can change that to any channel you wish to go to directly upon joining chat.
Auth to services: Check this box to enter your AfterNet registered user information
Options: Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner, then 'options' to adjust some basic settings for your chat session
